    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The ideal marketing manager will be responsible for developing and executing all marketing efforts at Masjid Anisa. Specific duties may include:

    • Reviewing current marketing campaigns for deficiencies and developing solutions.

    • Analyzing and summarizing analytics for the website, social media accounts, and newsletter campaigns to assess effectiveness and tweak strategies as needed.

    • Developing marketing strategies for promoting programs, events, and fundraising efforts. Brainstorming and developing innovative approaches to marketing and promotion

    • Executing research and employing marketing techniques to gather important data.  

    • Coordinating marketing initiatives across platforms.

    • Assisting in the organizing of promotional events and attending them to facilitate their success. 

    • Assisting the team to compose informational literature and content for the website, newsletter, and social media accounts (preferred).

    • Attending weekly meetings to update the team on progress.

    • Recruiting, training, and leading a team of marketing volunteers, as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Marketing experience and skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, OR at least 2 years’ experience as a marketing & social media assistant/manager

    • In-depth knowledge of digital media platforms, channels and trends

    • Good knowledge of marketing strategy, techniques, and relevant software, including email marketing. Social media marketing experience preferred

    • Knowledge of current and relevant landscape and trends among Western Islamic institutions

    • Proficient in analytics and market testing

    • Willingness to try innovative marketing strategies

    • Adept at digital technology, including Zoom, Google Drive, and basic file management

    • Excellent written English skills

    General work ethic:

    • A passion for Masjid Anisa and its objectives

    • Commitment to ihsan in one’s work, including a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism. 

    • Punctual and responsive to communications

    • Strong attention to detail

  • We are looking for an individual who is passionate about offering their time and skills to help Masjid Anisa achieve its short-and long-term goals. The Social Media Specialist will take direction from the team to help achieve marketing and promotional goals. This position is unpaid but will require on average no more than 3 hours a week.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing all social media platforms at Masjid Anisa, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Specific duties may include:

    • Uploading content provided by the core team to social media accounts on a consistent basis.

    • Monitoring and managing social media accounts to remove comments, messages, or follows/friends that are offensive or violate Islamic moral standards.

    • Working with the Marketing Manager to review current social media strategy for deficiencies and suggesting improvements.

    • Working with the Marketing Manager to help promote programs, events, and fundraising efforts. 

    • Brainstorming and developing innovative approaches to social media outreach. 

    • Coordinating consistent messaging across social media channels.

    • Assisting the team to compose content for social media accounts, as needed.

    • Replying to comments and direct messages on social media accounts, as needed.

    • Attending weekly meetings as needed to update the team on progress.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Social media experience and skills:

    • Experience as a marketing & social media assistant/manager a plus

    • In-depth knowledge of digital media platforms, channels and trends

    • Social media marketing experience a plus 

    • Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal communication and people skills, with a passion for community-building

    • Commitment to ihsan in communications, including a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism

    • Excellent oral and written English skills

  • We are looking for an individual who is passionate about offering their time and skills to help Masjid Anisa achieve its short-and long-term goals. The administrative assistant will work with and report to the Masjid’s core team and will receive training and guidance from them. This position is unpaid but will require on average no more than 7 hours a week.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The administrative assistant will be responsible for assisting with internal and external communications and administrative tasks that facilitate the functioning of the Masjid’s core team. Specific duties include:

    • Attending team meetings to record and share meeting notes in a timely manner.

    • Recording and sharing Zoom meeting recordings.

    • Responding to emails and communications from community members.

    • Maintaining high standards of professionalism in tone across all communication channels.

    • Scheduling meetings, inviting attendees, and confirming attendance as needed.

    • Contacting community members by email, phone, or text if needed.

    • Organizing and maintaining the team’s Google Drive folder and files as needed.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    This is an entry-level position so no experience is necessary. The volunteer will report to and receiving training from team members as needed. However, the following basic professional skills are preferred: 

    Administrative experience and skills:

    • Working knowledge of digital technology, including Zoom, Google Drive, and basic file management

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Excellent written English skills

  • We are looking for a junior designer who is passionate about offering their knowledge and skills to help Masjid Anisa achieve its short-and long-term goals. The assistant designer works under the direction of the team’s Design Strategist and will receive training as needed. This position is unpaid but will require on average no more than 7 hours a week.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The assistant designer will be responsible for assisting with developing design materials for the website, events, and marketing initiatives. Specific duties include:

    • Taking direction from the team’s Design Strategist to design and develop graphics for a variety of outlets, including the website, social media accounts, newsletter, and print.

    • Helping to produce and edit video for publication on various media platforms.

    • Work with the Marketing and Social Media managers to develop necessary assets for promotional and marketing efforts.

    • Maintaining and adhering to brand standards and tone across all communication channels and tools.

    • Maintaining awareness of current industry and technology standards, competitive landscape and market trends.

    • Retouching and editing graphics as needed.

    • Making basic updates to the website when needed.

    • Attending team meetings when needed to update the team on progress.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Design experience and skills:

    • Certificate or degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

    • Working knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign 

    • Experience with audiovisual editing software 

    • Knowledge of fundamental graphic design principles such as layouts and typography

    • Basic understanding of marketing, website design, corporate identity, and digital media

    • A strong eye for visual composition and excellent eye for detail

    • Adept at digital technology, including Zoom, Google Drive, and basic file management

    • Excellent written English skills

    • Photography and videography skills a plus

    General work ethic:

  • We are looking for an individual who is passionate about offering their time and skills to help Masjid Anisa amplify its messaging with dynamic photos and videos. The Photographer will collaborate with our leadership team to help produce high-quality content that achieves marketing and promotional goals. This position is unpaid but will require on average no more than a couple of hours’ commitment a week.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Photographer will be responsible for documenting various programs and events and for producing content for marketing purposes. Specific duties may include:

    • Attending programs and events as needed.

    • Documenting programs and events with high-quality images and video. 

    • Working with the team to produce content to promote programs, events, and fundraising efforts and achieve overarching objectives. 

    • Setting up and operating photographic equipment, such as cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.

    • Contributing to the development of innovative and creative media for outreach and promotion.

    • Editing and enhancing photos and videos for production.

    • Occasionally attending weekly meetings to check in with the team.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Photography experience and skills:

    • Technical proficiency related to equipment, lighting, etc.

    • Strong knowledge of image and video production and editing

    • Adept at photo and video editing software 

    • A strong eye for visual composition and excellent eye for detail

    Logistics:

    • Punctual and timely arrival to requested sites

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on site when needed

    • Access to transportation to  requested sites

    General work ethic:
